Quartz Glass Tube Supplier

Quartz tubes are specialized industrial glass tubes made from silicon dioxide (SiO₂). Unlike ordinary glass tubes, they are not fragile; rather, they are a type of “super glass” with exceptional physical and chemical properties. Their silicon dioxide content is typically 99.9% or higher, and this high purity endows them with a range of remarkable physical characteristics.

Key Features

Heat-resistant

Its softening point is around 1730°C; it can be used for extended periods at 1100°C, and can even withstand temperatures as high as 1450°C for short periods.

Extremely heat-stable

Even if you heat it until it’s red-hot and then quickly plunge it into cold water, it won’t shatter. This is because its coefficient of thermal expansion is extremely low.

Chemical stability

With the exception of hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid, it reacts with almost no other acids; its acid resistance is 30 times that of ceramics and 150 times that of stainless steel.
